Pacific Digital and Financial Literacy Survey – Data Analysis

Shawn Hunter

Please note that this is an on-going project.

Project Description

UNCDF has recently completed a major survey targeting 1,500 individuals across 7 Pacific Island countries to assess levels of digital and financial literacy. The purpose of this program is to provide a “deep-dive analysis” of the data and produce a number of knowledge products to demonstrate its value across a wider audience.

Project Personnel and Beneficiaries

Pacific policymakers and regulators
Researchers
Financially and/or digitally excluded members of the population

Outcomes to Date

The project has only just begun. No outcomes have been achieved yet.

Project Significance

The Griffith research team will analyse the data obtained through UNCDF’s financial and digital literacy surveys to look for important findings or stories that the data can provide. This will include analysis of the levels of digital and financial literacy across the target countries, with the aim of drawing insights and conclusions as to why levels may be low, medium, or high as well as identification of key barriers vulnerable Pacific islanders face in accessing financial and digital literacy support services.
