Supporting Refugees Career Development and Employability

Dr Peyman Abkhezr

Please note that this is an on-going project.

Project Description

This is the overall research focus of Dr Abkhezr. Dr Abkhezr’s research projects aim to highlight the role of the field of career development and its career counselling and vocational guidance strategies and activities to bridge the gap between research, theory and practice among several diciplines that aim to support refugees and migrant’s sustainable employment. A huge untapped potential exists within the activities developed in the career development field (e.g., qualitative and narrative career assessment strategies and instruments often used in career counselling) that should be utilised for supporting refugees’ personally meaningful career trajectories, that would ultimately ease their labour market intergration and promote sustainable development.
