Project Description
On Friday the 23rd and Saturday the 24th of June, Logan campus had the pleasure of hosting the 3rd Childhood Summit and Play Festival. This event combined both the voices of Child Keynote Speakers with grown-up child voice advocates (The Childhood Summit) with the fun of a community event – the Play Festival.
In addition to the 43 Child Keynote Speakers, grown-up leaders in the field of children’s voice and play, including Thomas Mayo; Professor Pasi Sahlberg; Te Waikamihi & Mark Lowndes; and Dr Rachel Sharman, also presented at the Childhood Summit.
The Play Festival combined loose parts play at the IMAGINASIUM, as well as a Bush Kindy, Messy Play and heaps more fun play activities throughout the two days.
Logan Campus (Pathways in Place) supported the Australian Institute of Play as they organised and implemented the Summit and Play Festival.
Logan Campus (Pathways in Place) is also supporting the ongoing response to the voices of the 43 Children Keynote Speakers. This includes the supporting the “What Next Workshop” as well as preparing papers with AIP to enhance the visibility of the Children Keynote Speakers’ messages.
