Leaders in Conversation BNE – Creating a Brighter Future for All – the arts, the city and the future

Professor Carolyn Evans

Project Description

As Griffith approaches it’s 50th anniversary we relect on the thriving community of artists, designers, musicians, performers and others who are shaping and changing the creative landscape of Brisbane. With arts education under pressure to demonstrate its relevance, Griffith has maintained its commitment to education across a range of creative disciplines. Griffith is well positioned through its location and partnerships, staff and alumni to continue to continue to be a major contributor to the future of the arts in Brisbane, Queensland and beyong. The arts have been part of the Australian life for thousands of years through Indigenous cultures through to today and it will be a critical element of the 2032 Games.

Join guest speaker Louise Bezzina, Artistic Director, Brisbane Festival and engage with fellow leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of the arts, arts education and its critical place in the future of higher education and society.
