Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) 2024

Project Description

Led by Logan City Council and supported by Griffith, The Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) explores how we can reduce, reuse and recycle to create a more sustainable world and future. Over 5000 visitors enjoyed the markets, workshops, plants for sale, fun activities for kids and the Repair cafe.

Project Personnel and Beneficiaries

Led by Logan City Council and supported by Griffith, the event included eco markets, hands-on workshops, and plants for sale and special guest ABC Gardening Australia host Costa Georgiadis.

Outcomes to Date

For the first time, people could participate in Bush Tucker Garden and Yarning Circle tours, the event itself was partially powered by solar panels.

The Sustainability team
The School of Environment and Science
Eleven student mentors
